You can call me kristin, kris, aqua, or a term of endearment of your choice :)
If you want to chill, the best way to get a hold of me, I’ve realized this semester, is when you see me, grab me and don’t let go until we agree upon a day and time. I am really bad at responding to emails, texts, Facebook messages, and the list goes on. I’m trying to get back into biking, so if you want to bike around the Bay Area, let me knoooow ^_^ (Bike trip across the Golden Gate Bridge, yes?!)
Why I like being a ranger, you ask? I’ve been one my whole life. Here’s a picture of me from high school.
But I’ve grown since then, taking on new things as a recruitment ranger…
such as sleeping late (hence, the fierce mess in the picture above) to do things that the Gender and Sexuality Awareness Coordinator, or GSAC for short, does. As GSAC, I facilitate two spaces: Biyuti, the queer and Pilipin@ space, and Womyn’s Committee, the Pilipina(-American) space. Events include closed meetings, teach-ins and workshops, socials, and the annual GSAC Retreat!
If you want to know more about GSAC, you can talk to me or to the other important parts of the Gender and Sexuality Awareness Component, Antmen Mendoza and Justine Velasquez.
With love,
kristin/kris/aqua
